Volunteering

Our Parish has volunteering opportunities to empower our parishioners to actively serve as the living hands and feet of Christ to the community.

You are invited to volunteer to ensure the life and growth of our parish. Faith in action is an excellent way of working with and beside Christ.

Administrative Assistance

Supporting parish staff with a range of tasks including data processing and filing.

Baptism Preparation and Welcoming

Providing instruction, support, and greeting the families and friends of baptismal candidates in preparation and on the day of their baptism.

Bereavement Support and Ministry for Funerals

Visiting those who have experienced a significant loss.

Assisting with the support of grieving individuals and families, and the preparation of funeral liturgies.

Children’s Liturgy

Preparing and presenting the scriptures for pre-school and primary school children as part of the Sunday Mass.

Media Ministry

Audio Visual: Setting up computer and AV equipment to project and operate PowerPoint during weekend masses.

Photography: Taking photos or videos of parish celebrations and activities and, providing these for use in parish promotions and publications such as our website and social media.

Promotion and Communication: Preparing advertising and promotion of parish spiritual and social activities.

Prayer Groups

Participating in ongoing or specific prayer communities or groups within the parish.

RCIA: Leadership, Sponsors, Catechists

Providing support for candidates during their preparation and for celebrations connected with those members wishing to join our Catholic faith.

Sacristan Ministry and Alter Society

Preparing the church and altar for mass and other liturgies.

Cleaning of linen, altar vessels and associated equipment.

St Vincent de Paul

Assisting people in emergency situations or situations of ongoing need, by filling various roles within our parish Saint Vincent De Paul conference.

Volunteer Portal

The Archdiocese offers numerous opportunities for individuals to participate in the growing opportunity and need for the involvement of the lay people in the life of the local church.

The volunteer opportunities range from memberships on councils, working groups and planning committees or joining care and concern groups or liturgy and music groups at your local parish.
